Lost in Translation v.4

Each canvas is based on distinct sentences. A canvas indicates two languages based on keystroke data values. White dots are the values of each letters by computer; English and Korean. Both languages data values collapse as a one round shape on each language. Each dots position by numeric value between 65 to 122.

My works are showing the new translation of people relation. This work is about the representation of language translation. The work presents how many feelings or nuances people would understand and would possibly miss through an interpretation in visual way. Each keyboard-letter value is set as a common value on every computer.

Lost in Translation v.3

Through comparing the two pages of the language visualization, I planned to present the lost and the gain of linguistic nuances. Left and Right pages present one same meanings sentence in English and Korean. Each page drawing is based on data from computer keystrokes values. Each keyboard-letter value is set as a common value on every computer. Here all dots show each alphabet's own numeric values between 65 to122. This work is representing the understood and lost meanings of translation in visual drawing.

This work was the second version of visualization of the translation between languages, English and Korean. Black dots present English and white dots indicate Korean. One drawing is based on the same meanings of a sentence in two distinctive languages. This work is representing the understood and lost meanings of translation in visual drawing.
