Palpable Journey (2015)

Palpable Journey (2015)

During the Laboratory Artist-in-Residence program I explored urban noise pollution as an artistic resource, to extend the boundary of my sound-based artwork from human-nature connectivity to include human-urban connectivity. All this artwork is based on research into the relationships between nature and urban area, and their impact on physical and psychological health in a community. The research has influenced the range of colors, shapes and materials.

Two wooden boxes are attached to the wall. Each box vibrates the data values which are based on the sound recordings of left and right ears' hearing in the city Spokane.
