The ‘You&I&You’ project examines the human reaction in the process of communication. Through this project, I examined the interaction between individuals in both the real and cyber spaces. There were two systems in this project; a physical system and a digital system.
In the physical system, the audiences heard some message which were triggered by their body movements. Any type of physical movements activated messages to pop-up from a social network service, Twitter, through my algorithm. While physical system resonates the Twitter messages, the digital system broadcasted the audiences the real world’s participants in real-time video to people who access to the web. By having either visual or aural experience, the participants have to make a bodily gestures or literal note as a response from one to another.
I enjoyed observing how the audiences throw themselves into the process of perceiving and sending ideas as a group or an individuals. An it extends my research interests into the communicative interactions.
